The Bhaktivedanta Academy, established in 1984, is an educational institution based in Sri Mayapur Dhama, India, which provides education for boys, girls and adult students on the principles of the Vedic Gurukula system.

ISKCON is meeting its need for increased systematic education. In 1995, devotees from VTE (Vaishnava Training and Education) and the European Communications Leadership Team began to discuss the creation of a Ministerial Programme to train devotees in teaching, preaching, and leadership.
